UMSICHT Fraunhofer institute. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Christian Doetsch, Head of the institute.
Dear Friends. My offer to you is actual, and relevant, being very interdisciplinary. Even if unsolicited, sorry me, but it merits of your attention. It is incredibly cheap, zero-carbon, hazard-free, compact, circular, distributed, and domestical supply and demand everywhere and of any designed schedule.
Abstract. Estimations: Hydrogen by USD 133 /t,on, NH3 by USD 17 /ton, CH2 (oil) by USD 4.6 /bbl, CH4 by USD 18 /1000 m3. All those by Opex. See a short disclosure just bellow. judbarovski.blogspot.com/2025/10, posted on Oct. 30.
Can I see allies in you, and hope for feedback. And I am ready to pay money received now by me from Germany as a victim.
Short disclosure. (1) Hydrogen. (a) CO2 + H2 = CO + H2O + 41 kJ, reversible reaction. (b) (CO + H2O) + 0.5 * H2O = 0.5 * (H2 + 0.5 * O2) + (CO2 + H2) = CO + 1.5 H2O = CO2 + 1.5 H2 + 0.25 O2 + 80 kJ of such thermochemistry + 41 kJ of reaction (a) = 121 kJ = USD 133 /Mmol heat. dG = 80 kJ + 6 * T . Being circular, CO2 and CO are practically free, and totally Q(H) = USD 133 / ton H2. (2) Ammonium. 0.5 N2 + 1.5 H2 = NH3 - 46 kJ exothermic reaction with its heat into electricity. 46 Mmol heat * (0.3 effectiveness of heat in electricity) * (0.03 tariffs) / 3,600 = USD 115. Here N2 is practically free, if each mol of the NH3 burns oxygen out of the air forming 3.5 mol N2 for 7 mol additional NH3 production. Such NH3 is (2 * 1.5 * 133 - 115) / 17 = USD 17 / ton NH3, OPEX, and totally with Capex is not more than about USD 50 /ton NH3 vs. present world markets prices of USD 650-850. (3) CH2 (Oil). CO2 + 3 H2O = CH2 + 2 H2O, exothermic reaction with the heat in electricity as a by-product. (4) CH4 (methane). CO2 + 4 H2 = CH4 + 2 H2O, exothermic reaction with its heat into electricity as a by-product.
