(a) CO2 [1] + H2 = CO + H20 - 3 kJ. Being circular, CO2 is free here. If Q served for a cost, Q(CO) * 28 = Q(H) * 2, so Q(CO) = Q(H) / 14. (b) CO + 1.5 H2O = CO2 + 1.5 H2 + 0.25 O2 + 146 kJ. 146 kJ = 146 * 4/ 3.6 [2] = USD 161.0 /Mmol. Really, 1.5 * 2 * Q(H) = Q(CO) * 28 + USD 161 = 2 * Q(H) + USD 161, so Q(H) = USD 161 /ton H2.
