Abstract Simplified technology promises USD 161/ton H2, USD 11.5 /ton CO, and hydrocarbons of USD 6 / bbl. They are OPEX, and green and in order of magnitude cheaper than prices of fossil fuels. (a) CO2 [1] + H2 = CO + H20 + 3 kJ negligible. Here everywhere CO2 is circular and free. A cost of H2O is negligible. If Q served for a cost, Q(CO) * 28 = Q(H) * 2, so Q(CO) = Q(H) / 14. (b) [2] CO + 1.5 H2O = CO2 + 1.5 H2 + 0.25 O2(air) + 146 kJ. 146 kJ = 146 * 4/ 3.6 [3] = USD 161.0. 1.5 * 2 * Q(H) - 161 = Q(CO) * 28 = 2 Q(H). So Q(H) = USD 161 / ton H2. and CO = Q(H)/14 = USD 11.5 /ton CO. A chain of those four reactions allows at started USD cost 400 /ton H2 to turn it in 90 OPEX at the end CO practically free. Heat of exothermic reactions can be converted in electricity and sold, so drastically deminish a cost of H2, CO, and CH2 down to about 3.5 cent/liter. (1) CO2 + H2 = CO + H2O. (2) CO + 1.5 H2O = CO2 + 1.5 H2 + O.25 O2 (3) CO2 + 1.5 H2 + O.25 O2 = CO + 1.5 H2O. (4) CO + 1.5 H2O = CO2 + 1.5 H2 + 0.25 O2. Here, CO2 is free being a circular reagent. Here NH3 is USD 28 /ton synthetized from N2 created by burning a small amount NH3 in the air, while H2 is USD 200 /ton [1], the both of them are zero carbon.
