(1) CH4 + 2 H2O = CO2 + CH2 + 5 H2, dH = 206 kJ, dS = 178 J. (2) Exothermic CO2 + 3H2 = CH2 + 2H2O combined with (1) gives 2CO2 + H2 = 3 CH2 + 4H2O. Q(CH2) = 440 + 340 = $780/(14 * 3)= $ 15.0 /ton CH2 = 2.0/bbl. !!! (3) CH2 + H2 = CH4 exothermic too. dG < 0. Q(CH4) = $(28 * 14 + 2 * 170)/16 = $34/ton CH4 = 24 /1000 m3 !!!
