Abstract

It is a new kind of a wind power generator. Its energy effectiveness can be close to 100%, while it has very simple design, and its electricity is about 0.3 USA cents per kWh, because a lion share of the said cost is a share of a geared electric generator. It works in open sea in principle, while global wind kinetic power is about 20.0 milliard kW.

The power generation unit is a small pilotless boat with a flat sail. Four small floats placed symmetrically at a distance from the boat, are serving to compensate a torque force of the wind on the sail. A relatively small water wheel with three blades in a form of window leaf each (WWWL) is fixed underwater to the boat moved by the sail. At any moment only one window leaf is closed by the front flow, rotates the wheel and the generator with highest energy efficiency, while two other window leafs rotates free of resistance being opened by the front water flow.

The said boats go there and back. They harvest the wind energy and transform it into electricity.

Certainly, we can ask me about a way to store and to transport such electricity from the thing floatng in the open ocean? I suppose the electricity to be transformed on-board into chemical energy of a liquid, and the best it can be ammonia. The gaseous ammonia is liquefied at quite low pressure. The ammonia is excellent for energy storage and for energy transportation, and then for distributed power generation.

The ammonia can be produced by nitrogen-hydrogen fuel cell or by classical Haber-Bosch process or by metal hydride and nitride chemical cycles;

At first, on-board the said electricity is feeding some small magnetrons and their microwaves are concentrated on a tiny focus inside a small vessel with the water and thermally splitting such tiny area of the water giving the hydrogen, is used on-board for ammonia production from the said hydrogen and nitrogen. The last is delivered periodically for the said boat in storage quantity in compact pressed form from a floating factory serving to extract the nitrogen from the atmospheric air. The small part of the said ammonia gives energy for the factory, while a lion share of the ammonia in its liquefied form is the end product of the business.
