My idea is based on well understanding of
weak sides of EMP weapon (electromagnetic pulse as a means to destroy
electronic devices).
The weak sides are following:
(1) It is a pulse or several pulses, hence
after a pulse will be a pause
(2) Mainly, having a big power it has
relatively small energy in average
(3) It is well known, that the iron shield
can protect any active electronics (e.g. any transmitters)
(4) Any receivers can be sufficiently protected
by iron shield too, if they don’t amplifying sufficiently input signals
(4a) Being with amplifiers, but not amplifying
of input signals, it is sufficiently protected too by iron shield
I offer here a simple way allowing such receiver
to operate.
For that purpose the input signal has to
reach the receiver after an intermediate device serving to transform the input
signal that comprises a useful signal plus noise, into memory record of any
nature with possibility to transmit it in a form of electric signal to input of
our receiver with a delay. That delay must be enough to recognize the time of the
EMP weapon attack. It can be, when the input exceeding a permitted threshold.
Our receiver can process input signals even during EMP weapon attack, and such attack
can be considered as an additional small noise, while our intermediate device
can be a tiny chip must be equipped by any important and not so important
electronics.
If it is dish antenna, it can be protected
too by a screen of controlled transparence, because the reaction time is enough
in a light of the very small time for recognizing of EMP attack..
