Abstract. . -
CO2 + 3 H2 = CH2 + 2 H2O - 239 kJ. Gibbs criteria is negative in wide spectra of temperatures
Here CO2 can be directly captured from the air [1] by less than 1144 kWh /ton CO2.
H2 is down to USD 200 /ton H2 can be produced by three steps from the CO2 and the water. [2].
Energy for such technology was developed down to 0.4 cents /kWh [3], while its byproducted electricity can be sold to decrease OPEX. And totally, CH2 can be USD 6.3 /bbl and produced carbon negative and distribute.
Really.
CO2 + 3 H2 = CH2 + 2 H2O - 239 kJ.
(239 * 10^6 / 3600 sec.) kWh * 0.3 efficincy * 0.03 tariff = USD 600.
CH2 = (1144 * 0.004 + 3 * 2 * 200 - 600) / 14 + 20% = USD 44 / ton CH2 = USD 6.3 /bbl = 4 cent / liter.
