The said researchers predict after many years global investigations and scientific modeling, that 19% the world population now living in 23% of largest cities on 12 million km2 are under threat of land subsidence can ruin them, because underground water and minerals resources exploiting.
It took me a few minutes to calculate and evaluate with big reserve that conservative decision to prevent the said threat would need less than 0.3% World GDP and 0.4% present electricity consume, or about 1.0 % regional ones would be enough to prevent the said threat by support the underwater environment by conventional 100% water recycling, and restoring by desalinated sea water loading underground..
